Typical dishes and nightclubbing
All year round, Catalan people eat "pà amb tomàquet" (bread with spread tomato on it). in Spring there are the "calçots" (long typical onions), in Autumn one finds all types of mushrooms and in Winter, "escudella and carn d'olla" and cannelloni. Everything accompanied by the Penedès and Priorat wines, as well as the famous Cava (Catalan champagne).
The Barcelona nightlife offer is wide and varied. Its packed with dance halls, pubs, nightclubs for young people, as well as "tapas" bars and restaurants for all budgets. If you want to go for dinner and for a drink in a quiet and modern area, the Born district is your place, very fashionable. Do not forget that during the Summer season, there are many district festivals going on, which combine tradition and modernity.
